Any words of encouragement or advice for my situation?

I graduated with my A.A this year.I hoped to further my Education at a 4 year school this Fall but due to financial difficulties and a husband who would rather go clubbing 3 times a week and help his mom with her bills and buy a car than help me pay my tuition,I will not be attending.I have always been strong and ambitious.I always took my Education seriously.I now feel hopeless and discouraged.I also have a baby on the way.I did not plan my life to turn out this way.The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that I was given the gift of motherhood and I will soon be showered with unconditional love by my little one.Any words of encouragement or advice for my situation?
Congratulations on your graduation and your upcoming bundle of joy!

I know this situation can be stressful, but have you talked to your husband about it?

I can understand your frustration with your husband, but he may have good motives for his actions.

Perhaps he feels that with a baby on the way school is not a priority. He may be going out clubbing to enjoy his last moments before becoming a father, and I think it's great that he's supporting his mother. This shows he's a family man, and hopefully he will do the same for you when you are the mother of his child (which is soon!) Also, the car may seem extravagant, but it may also be part of preparing for your family, so maybe ask him if this was the case.

If you haven't already, try to explain to your husband how important your education is to you. It may be difficult to go back to school until your child is a little older, but which is help in caring for the child, it is definitely possible. Tell him how important this is to you and that you feel discouraged. Tell him you are concerned about some of the decisions he's been making and that you would like to know what his priorities are. As the mother of his child, you should definitely be somewhere on the top of the list!Any words of encouragement or advice for my situation?
You have the power to control your own life. Everything you have thought and done up to now has brought these events into your life. Everything you are doing now is planning your future for you. Try applying for student loans or grants to further your education. I was able to get some great aid for my last 2 years of school. Took me 10 years to pay it off but it was worth it.

Try watching ';You Can Heal Your Life'; by Louise Hay and ';The Secret'; by Rhonda Byrne. Both great videos to get your mind on track and remind you that you are the one in control of your life.
There are so many things you can do for money for school. Talk to a school counselor and tell them you have no funds right now and need all the help you can get. As for your hubby-tell him to grow up and be a man. If you can't get him to help you over his own mama you need to give him a reality check. Seriously, when a man has a family the family comes first-not the parents. Good luck to you and don't give up on that education-
You just make sure that you keep going on with your education. It is wonderful that you have your A.A. and you are a soon to be mother. I've been in a very similar situation but now my husband is more mature and I am working on my Masters degree. I even have a beautiful 15 month old. Don't feel hopeless and don't feel discouraged. You can do it because I did!
yes i was crying 2 days ago for the same situation my husband rather help his sister pay her tuition than help me ! now he told me to get a job ! is so stupid that you can even count with the person you love and thought that they wil be by your side supporting you 100%. hang in there! at least you have you A.A i don't have none! congrats for your baby! try to talk to him to see if he help you! good luck
Motherhood is great but it's not going to pay the bills. Neither will your husband if he doesn't get his act together. If you want to go to school apply for grants and aid. There is always a way to do it. Good luck.
There are ways to fund your tuition so don't give up.

Maybe you want to focus on the baby right now...but there is a way.

Look for programs and scholarships that you can qualify for.

You can do it !! I know you will !

Your problems seem to start and end with your husband, maybe you should get rid of him and make a future for you and your child alone, and continue with your studies. Good luck.
you sound just like my brother. my mom wont sign a loan for school for him so he is thinking of giving up. don't let anyone stand in your way you do what you want to do follow your dreams.
If you work at a college your tuition is discounted, sometimes free, look for a job at a school.
Get a loan to go to school with....and once you have completed your education...get a job and leave your immature husband....
I suggest that you get a job and attempt to pay your own tutition.
grant time

Fill out a fafsa form and see if you can get money.
Congrats on your degree. Don't blame your husband for you not continuing though, not his fault. It is a huge priviledge to be able to afford or have access to a higher education, not a need or requirement.

Since you are having a baby you will likely qualify for federal grants and loans. You only have a couple more years of school so you won't end up in very much debt. I would go that route if you really want to continue.

Seriously, if you want to continue school you will.

BTW - children do not shower you with love...lol....they suck the life out of you then give you JUST enough love to make it balance out.
Keep ur head up girl, try not to worry or stress yourself over what has happened, just know that in time u will have your baby and hopefully when the baby is older u will be able to go back and do the things that u wanted to do, yes life can throw a curve ball in your way sometimes, and sometimes ur plans has to go on hold but with commitment, ,and perseverance u can and will make it, don't give up on ur dreams, just try again after the baby comes, and work even harder at making it come through for u.GL to you!
Wow, I would be very sad and feeling the same way that you do. I think that is great that you have a little one on the way and yes that will be unconditional and it will be great for you to feel that with your baby. Congrats on getting your AA that is a great accomplishment. I used to be with someone like that and did not really care about my college and put everything else in front of him so I ended it. I think it is sad that your husband isn't supportive and would rather be a mamma's boy than be your solid rock that you need in your life. I think you need to sit down and talk with your husband and explain to him how you are feeling and what is on your heart because if you don't then you will always regret talking to him about it. He won't be able to fix it unless you talk with him and let him know how you feel! You can still be ambititous so get out there and find ways to get to college. Take care!! :)
First, expect the shower to be cold. Yes, babies (and children in general) will love you unconditionally, but they are selfish and demanding too. They don't understand your needs, only their wants.

Question: You say you didn't plan your life to turn out this way... did you PLAN differently? If you didn't have a plan, you are right where you put yourself. BUT, your life hasn't ';turned out'; at all, yet. You're not finished. Stick to your guns and never give up on something better. And get the moron out of the clubs, he's going to be a father. He should start acting like one...

Advice on my words of wisdom?

I made this quote up all by myself. I'm not sure if its because of my ex gfs or what. Give me your advice. Use it for your exs if you want them back.

';Love what you have, or you'll learn to love what you lose.';

Nathan McDorman (2008)Advice on my words of wisdom?
very, very goodAdvice on my words of wisdom?
its good buddy try making some more
';you'll learn to love what you've lost'; would be better But yes very true.. And yes a broken heart will do that to you :(
Well how would you love what you lose? that makes no sense. try something like

';Love what you have or regret what you had'; Alex M(2008)
kinda korny
I like it...it's a different take on how you don't know what you've got until it's gone...
Hi!

Well, I like it.... and at the same time I'm still trying to understand what you're saying. That's perfectly fine though, because it only really needs to make sense to you, and if it inspires you then all the better for it !! Good for you, expressing yourself and putting it out there is a tough thing to do, especially when you have critics lining up at the door to start passing judgement on you and your character.

Keep going.... it's good for the soul !!
not so good, sounds boring!, make it more appealing and pleasing to the reader. (sorry)
Has this been your experience with your gf? Has she learned to love you now that she has left? Has she come back for a second chance?

It does you no good to try to fix her as you never have control over another person. Learn what you did to cause the breakup as it will make you wiser in your next relationship.

She may have caused the parting. It could be her fault but you can do nothing about her. Look to yourself and be a wiser man next time. The very best of luck and good management!

It's a big world with lots of wonderful people in it and there's one just for you.
and then when u lose...dont ever lose the lesson....
It's okay. I think it's been said before, in a different way however, no offense.

I need Words of good advice...?

Since I was very young I've experienced life in the most kind and un-kind ways with extreme measures in each.

Sometime in the recent years I feel that to reach my dream in life I have to always keep my self happy and not let my dreams fade away, the dreams since my younger ages.

But recently I feel so broken, so un-emotional, like everything's slowly working out but I've lost that control I use to have...

I use to be able to control my anger, my emotions, my desires and always knew what was best because I had a good feeling about what I was doing.

But lately I feel like I cannot sleep until 3-4am. I don't feel tired, but I feel more tired emotionally and I just need some word of advice to get me back on track. I use to never feel fear of anyone or anything and now over recent events I'm scared!

Can I have some advice please.

This is an extract from the worlds 'first supermodel' Gia carangi's writings. She was one of the first people to die from HIV related illness. This was written, when she knew she was dying.

It's beautiful, isn't it?

What she was saying is Life is life is life, and life is important.

We have to take the knocks, blows and side kicks, from wherever they may come and continue onward, until we can finally say, I was here, I have experienced also, and therefore I have lived. What a life too!
God can help you live a better life if you want Him to. You can have a personal relationship with God by saying the prayer below. God is our Creator, all-knowing, all-powerful, eternal, holy, love. God loves us and sent us His Son, Jesus Christ, so we can go to heaven if we know and follow Him. Forever means without end -- time on and on without death. Forever is what happens after we die. Either we go to heaven and be with God forever, or we go to hell which is very bad and painful forever. The good people who are saved believers in Jesus Christ go to heaven. The bad people go to hell. We need to know and follow God in this world to get to heaven in the next world. We follow God by loving and obeying Him and loving others for Him. Jesus Christ, God's Son, is our bridge to God. Jesus died on the cross to cancel our sins. We need to accept Jesus into our life as our Lord and Savior forever to receive God's blessing and forgiveness plus go to heaven to be with God forever after we die. This is about being a born-again Christian. Faith in God is a gift from God. You can pray for faith in God. Just speak out and ask God for the faith to believe in Him and to follow Him. Some people find faith in God when they realize the beauty in the world is made by God. Evolution can't explain the world's natural beauty, for example, the parks in the world, animals, flowers, peacocks, sunsets, butterflies, rainbows, etc. After you have your faith on, you can pray a sinner's prayer to be a born-again Christian. This prayer is very important and should be said with a sincere heart and faith in God. This is the prayer: ';Dear God, I know that I am a sinner and that Jesus Christ is the sacrifice for our sins. I have done the following sins (state these out) and I pray to discontinue these sins. I pray to receive Jesus Christ into my life as my Lord and Savior forever. In Jesus' name, amen.'; I'm Lutheran and I like the Baptist churches too. You could try out a Christian church and also see about their weekly Bible study group to learn about God's will for your life. You can pray to God about your daily life and have a Christian church pray for you.
well what you need to do is be completely honest with yourself, ask yourself what needs to be done to make me happy, is it a man a new job an animal in your life anything?????

if none of that is what your lacking then you need to re-evaluate your priorities and get out of this life style you have gotten so use to that now bores you and invouilintarily stresses you out and causes you to not let your mind rest.

this might sound crazy but, get away asap

grab your best friend, sibling or go by yourself and do what you want to do. go somewhere random or go visit an old friend or a family member that can ease your mind

When People speak about their condition and tell of the benefits which they have found by employing the treatments one can only feel humbled .These are just a few of the many thousands of comments which have been made .Sometimes the therapies have been literally a life saver bringing people back from the point of death, sometimes out of a life of years of misery and suffering, they are all interesting reading.

Spiritual healing

Harry Edwards recalled the case of a young man who, accompanied by a lady, was brought to me for healing. He was in great pain and eaten-up with arthritis. As the healing proceeded, so his pains left him, and his joints began to loosen and become free. When I had finished treating him, it was a real delight to see how wonderfully glad he was to be able to use his legs, feet, arms and hands again... and then he told me: ';When I came here, I was convinced no one could help me, and I came only to please my Aunt, who brought me.';

You worked a miracle with his father when he was very ill 1983-84 when I wrote to you, but you will be pleased to know he is now working for the Council and lives a fairly normal life.

I's report is complete - he is 100% fit and will have no trouble in resuming his sporting activities -considering the first reports, this is a miracle. I do not know how I would have managed without your wonderful help.

You and the late Harry Edwards helped me so often and indeed I am still pressing on 18 years after I was expected to die from my last bout of cancer.

I wrote to ask for healing for my sister who was to undergo an operation for aneurysm in the aorta. Her operation was very successful. After 1 day in intensive care and 2 days in progressive care she was back in her own room and has done extremely well. She was allowed home after 7 days when she had been told to expect to be in hospital for 10 to 15 days. Everyone was amazed at her recovery and the surgeon told her she had been a perfect patient. I feel sure the absent healing and our prayers were to a great extent responsible for this wonderful recovery and I thank you most sincerely for your help.

I thought perhaps you would like to have a record of the people you have helped during the time I have been sending reports. M.L. -angina, complete recovery. D. L. -duodenal ulcer, complete healing. B.L. - Angina, complete recovery. P.D. - Leukaemia - apparent full recovery.

On behalf of my mother, daughter and myself may I thank you for the lovely day at your Sanctuary last Tuesday. My mother is so much better it is truly amazing. She can stretch out her arms and even raise them to her head and her walking is much stronger. My daughter was very impressed, too. 1141/6

My condition improved in as much as I now have much more self-confidence and ability to deal with my everyday life. 1145/6

G.S. Good news. Up until recently he had to be helped to get into and out of his car. It is adapted to enable a disabled person to drive, The other day he got into his car entirely on his own and drove some 12 miles to a nearby town. Got out on his own and went into a shop to make a purchase. No wheelchair anymore! 1142/6

You both, along with our friends in Spirit, have been directing healing for our daughter who, as I told you, has been given a full bill of health, thank you. 1146/6

I must report to you the miracle that soon after writing to you about my husband's ill health due to smoking, he decided to give up the habit and has not smoked since. I never thought it possible. It has been well worth it all. His general health has improved considerably. 1148/6
i wouldnt smoke no ganja,i tried smokin and it gave me a panic attack... but first off try to face what ever it is that has happend and try to tell yourself that these things can make u a stronger person and with you experience u can help guide others that are going through aot and that have had bad things happen to them... i grew up too with not everthing so pleasent i understand what u are saying..but dont let these things take control of the rest of your life..i did and i am 30 and still trying to fix all these emothional problems and control the anxiety and painc attacks..i would try to face what ever it is and just keep in minnd wat dont kill u can only make u stronger...and if u have to get a theropist ..i did and getting stuff off my chest and out really did help..at 1st i didnt think so ..but it does help and i use it as me time ...but i hope i helped u out a little at least..and u are not alone and i wish u the best of luck
Firstly, you need to go to bed earlier. I am in the habit of falling asleep at such hours too,and lack of sleep can effect your emotions. The only way to get around this is to stay awake until six sevenish in the evening and conk out to get your sleeping pattern back to normal. Being awake at them hours give you way too much time to think into yourself and find the negative things. We all have dreams and ambitions that we want to make come true. Your probably just emotionaly tired of being patient with making your way towards your goals, even though your sometimes not seeing any improvements. You need to inspire yourself again. Do something that will give you a strong sense of achievment..like hit the gym for an hour and you will come back out feeling mentally stronger and have more pride in yourself. Refusing things you dont need like a ciggarette or an temper outburst can put your thinking in good perspective afterwards, believe me,I know. Gain control of the little things before you try to gain control of the big things. Nip it in the bud or you will not make a change in this decline. Dont be scared of whatever it is that is scaring you. Conquer your fear, strive on,you know you can do it if you have being doing it all along before.:) Take care.x

Need some words of encouragement, advice, or something....i was just humiliated?

i will be a senior next year. i love volleyball and want to join the team (i havent played since 9th grade) so i am not very good, but promised myself i'd practice all summer. i asked some girls if i could join their summer practice team which is once a week, and they said no, because they only wanted girls that have been playing all through high school to be on it. they didnt think i'd be able to catch up or that i'd put my full effort into it. it really brought me down and it was embarassing. should i even continue on with my goal? will it be worth the effort and time? i want to prove to these girls that they are wrong. but honestly i dont know if i'd be able to catch up. i figured if i practiced every day while they only practiced once i week i may have a chance...but idk...i dont know what to do...Need some words of encouragement, advice, or something....i was just humiliated?
Unfortunately some people can be very cruel and insensitive. Don't worry about them turning you down . Keep paracticing over the summer and with determination(which I see you have) you will make it on the team next year. If you really want anything in life you have to work hard and never give up on your dreams. The girls who turned you down will regret there decision when you outshine them all next season!!! Don't doubt yourself and keep upop the good workNeed some words of encouragement, advice, or something....i was just humiliated?
Don't listen to them, practise with friends and family, or keep turning up to their practices and insist that you want to play. When they see how keen you are, they'll know that you have the commitment. ALternatively, set up your own volleyball practice where anyone can play. It's a fun game, everyone should be allowed.

Good luck!
There's no reason to feel humiliated or give up.

It would be worse for the team and for you if you joined and then you found you were out of your depth. I imagine practicing on your own wouldn't be as good, since it's a team game. Are there other people you could practice with?
Use it as motivation to beat them all. Yes, you should continue. By the way, only you allow yourself to be humiliated. It's not in any way your fault, but you'd be a lot better off if you could develop self-worth that isn't as dependent on other people. Best wishes.
Find another team to practice with and never let anyone deter you from what you want to do or accomplish in life. Don't be humiliated. Work hard, play hard and show them that you are giving all your effort to become the best player you can be.

I don't know if I would want to be on a team that discourages people anyway. But I most certainly would find a team or build a team of people that DO know what the word ';TEAM'; means. Good luck! I hope you play them at the end of the summer and kick their sorry butts!
If this is something that is important to you then you should follow it up. But I'm not sure if ';proving them wrong'; might be a healthy approach, as if they are just being mean then they will ostracise you even if you are good perhaps? And that would be upsetting for you.

Is there another volleyball team? I would recommend practising as much as you feel you would like to, and it doesn't matter what standard you get to as long as you enjoy playing.

I would hope there's another team, so you can play volleyball for whoever, without having to rely on one team that seems unwelcoming. If you get good with the other team, then the other team might want you back?

Still chase your dreams, but don't set yourself up for a fall :) There is usually an alternative way if you are creative enough, to achieve your dreams, but sometimes it isn't in the obvious way. Good luck :)

Any words of wisdom? Advice?

I'm in love with a girl that doesn't love me back. She instead sees me as a good friend. Recently, she's been going through some tough times (some that I can relate to) and has been calling me 2,3,4 times each night. And since I love her, I talk to her and try to make her feel better. She's been going through a lot of tough times, some more serious than others. One is about her ex Bf, who she's in love with. I try to help her out to the best of my abilities, but inside it's killing me. I don't know what to do. I know that I can't just leave her at a time when she needs someone. But, I also know that she'll never see me in the same way as I see her. I just don't know what to do. Moving on, focusing on another girl is easier said than done. Because then you tend to compare all the new girls you meet with her and you begin to find flaws in each The new girls you meet aren't as fun, or as articulate, or as interesting or as beautiful as her. It's like i'm stuck.

Any advice? Words of wisdom?Any words of wisdom? Advice?
Omg.

You know that girl you're talking about, I've been her situation, sort of. And my god it was horrible.

I know that watching the one you love, love somebody else, is one of the hardest things, anyone can ever do, and because you love her, you can't just drop her off and hit the road. She obviously needs you in her life, you must make her feel like no one else does, for her to keep calling like that in her times of need. How do you know she wont ever love you like you love her? Life is full of surprises, and by the sounds of it, she has strong feelings for you as a close friend, and a close friend easily turns into something more, so don't get your hopes down. All you can do right now is be the person she needs, and knowing she appreciates you, should be enough to keep you holding onto her.

HOWEVER. if you doubt she'll come around, and you feel like it's unbareable, and moving on sorta stuff is neccessary.. do you really need a new girl to love after her right away? Work on trying to see her as a friend before moving on is what I'd suggest. Just focus on the negatives about her, and make sure you are ready for it.

Good luck =P

Encouragement, words of wisdom, advice for a soon to be first time mum?

Hi there,

I'm a regular poster in the pregnancy section...mostly because I've got nothing but time on my hands, and because this is my first pregnancy and I don't have any family, and few friends around to support me. As I'm sure you all understand, the first pregnancy is nerve-racking, scary, joyful and exciting. Most of what I've learned has been from the internet and those willing to pass on their tid-bits of wisdom. I know when to take what I read with a grain of salt, however - otherwise you end up being a little paranoid and full of not-necessarily-true ideas.

At this point, I'm 33 weeks in. Uncomfortable as all get out, and approaching the home stretch to bringing this baby home.

What sort of advice, wisdom or encouragement do you have that might make these last few weeks more bearable? Sometimes I feel awfully stuck and alone with this pregnancy as I know no ladies who are pregnant or have had children also. I'm desperate for the chit chat, knowledge and optimism that only a mother can provide.

Anything would be appreciated,

thank you~Encouragement, words of wisdom, advice for a soon to be first time mum?
Well, first off, congratulations!!! Having your first baby is so incredibly exciting, and yes, terrifying at the same time! But, being a mother is truly a gift from God, one that can never be explained by words alone.

Once I was in the home stretch and starting to feel uncomfortable I remember telling myself to enjoy every minute of being pregnant because there's always a chance I would not have another baby. You never know if for some strange reason you wouldn't be able to get pregnant again. So, I tried to look at it that way and just smile, knowing I had a real live baby inside of me!! Pregnancy and birth are such miracles, that to me, can only be explained by God. So many things have to go right in the first place to even have conception happen. It's so amazing. So, I always tried to look at it like God was giving me this incredible gift and I need to enjoy it while I can. I know that's hard to do when you're hot, tired, uncomfortable, etc....but you just have to keep focused on that. Soon, you are going to see that sweet newborn face, one that you've been imaging for 9 months....how exciting is that?!

After the baby is born, you are going to be sore, tired, overwhelmed and emotional. This is all completely normal. I don't think I was well enough prepared. I thought I'd go home and start my life with my sweet baby. Well, yes, we did start our sweet little family but I was feeling/experiencing all those things and it was somewhat difficult to deal with. Babies will cry a lot, some more than others, and when you are tired in the middle of the night it can be very very overwhelming. Just remember, it DOES get better. Once the baby starts giving you feedback such as smiling, laughing, cooing, you think, ';oh wow, I can do this. It's going to be okay.'; Our daughter was one of the easiest, calmest babies I've ever met. She is now almost 2 years old and I can't even begin to describe the love I have for her. So, like I said, the newborn stage can be difficult but it does get easier and so much fun.

I'm excited for you! Babies are life changing but SO worth it. I can't imagine not having my daughter in our lives. She is such a blessing. Just today we heard heard singing in her crib over the intercom. Hearing her sweet little voice sing is so amazing. My husband and I just smile at each other and laugh and almost cry, realizing what an awesome gift she really is. Good luck and God bless you and your new baby!!Encouragement, words of wisdom, advice for a soon to be first time mum?
When I was 8 months pregnant, the father left me for someone else, so I know exactly how you feel. I was alone when I went into labor and even drove myself to the hospital.

Being in labor for the first time is probably one of the scariest thing I have ever been through and I won't lie to you and tell you it's easy. Because it's not. It hurts and it's long. But, the end result is amazing. Once they place that baby into your arms, you'll instantly forget the pain you went through. Nothing else matters anymore, because you are finally holding that little person you have waited so long to meet.

As for being comfortable....I don't even know what to suggest. My last few weeks were in the middle of the summer and I was hot and miserable. I suggest kicking back, putting on a movie and taking it easy with some ice cream.

Good luck!!!
1st time mom here and i want to tell you some advice i learned along my 6 months lol. when i was in the delivery room i cried. i had to let it out and i was so terrified i cried and felt so much better so if you have to cry, cry. also if you dont plan on breastfeeding its ok to let the baby sleep in the nursery. you will need your energy for when you go home. dont let the nurses guilt you. also ask them to show you how to swaddle, and any questions you have ask them. try to get some rest in this last month, i woke up to pee every 2 hours it stunk. also its ok to let the house be dirty. its hard juggling a family and a clean house. it doesnt have to be **** n span a quick pick up will do.also if you can try to get the little one on a schedule. it makes your life and theris so much easier. enjoy your time with your baby. take too many pics and give too many kisses. :) good luck mommy.

I need advice or words of encouragement?

I have recently gained weight..About 1 year ago my husband said a nasty commet about me weight during a argument,,however I never forgot it...My self esteem is so low I hate going annywhere, doing anything,I wont have sex without a shirt,,,I always feel down like someone is talking about, staring at me,,pointing and laughing...My husband regrets and has app.he dose try to make me feel good but I feel I'm traped in my own body,,,So any advice, words of encouragement ot help me overcome this...much neededI need advice or words of encouragement?
I am sure he didnt mean what he said, when people get into arguements they say things they dont mean. I dont know how over weight you are, but I went throught the same thing with my husband. I was always skinny even after having kids I hit my 40's and the weight came on fast I went from 130 to 170lbs (height5'5 )in 2 years. My son who is 8 one day said to me mom are you having a baby. I was devasted. So that was it. I started slow I would walk the beach every morning before work a mile then 2 miles. Then I would have small portions no sugar at all. I would take my 8 year old after work to walk the beach again with me. And in one month I lost 12lbs and losing. Start slow smaller portions, and drink water, walking and then move onto cardio stuff like riding a bike etc. Now I feel better. You dont have to feel trapped just say I am going to lose weight and do it. It may take a while for you to lose but you can do it. Forgive your husband and move on, and take control of your life. Good luckI need advice or words of encouragement?
Of course your self esteem is flailing! Your husband has scarred you and made you worry even more with his spiteful words. My advice would be to work on self acceptance. Whether that self be chunky or thin. And then begin to realize that you are not trapped in your body, you have the power to change it if you so choose, and maybe your husband should realize that often when their chunky wives lose their excess weight they also tend to lose their excess baggage (namely them) in favour of someone who loves them unconditionally. Good luck to you. You can do it. You're ok no matter what size you are, love yourself, the rest will come.
Why don't you and your husband join a gym together. That way you guys can help, encourage, and work out with each other.

Change your eatinghabits and get out and do things.

Don't waste time being down about it. Fix it and as you fix it you're outlook will start to change and you will feel better.
Try losing the weight, I know it's hard but isn't it harder feeling the way you do right now. Most people try those stupid quick fix diets that don't work. Make your own plan you know what you should and shouldn't eat and how much is really to much. You don't need someone to tell you that. Also get a buddy a lot of people want to loose weight I am sure you have a friend that can be a walking partner or gym buddy so you can motivate each other. When you have a weight lose buddy it really helps because people are natural competitors we like to do better than others so it really motivates you try it and don't give up it takes patience to lose weight but you can do it. In the mean time it may cost a little money but get you some outfits that compliment the body type you currently have. Good luck and if you try this keep us updated on your lose so we can also motivate you and cheer you on. :)
